celebrating Mandela Day

At PEN, we are committed to the emotional and mental well-being of our community. This year, on the occasion of Mandela Day, we hosted an unforgettable celebration that brought joy and positivity to the lives of many beneficiaries.

The day began with a spirit of unity as beneficiaries and staff members dedicated 67 minutes to cleaning and revitalizing the Ezekiel Mphahlele Drive water bridge, located in the west of Pretoria near Marabastad.

After the cleaning, we gathered at the Capital Park sports ground for a delightful breakfast and lunch, prepared with love and served to everyone present. The day continued with excitement as we engaged in various games, including Soccer, Sprint Race, Egg Spoon Race, and more.

The essence of the day was continued through the generosity of multiple donors and partners, who provided different parcels to the beneficiaries. Toiletries, health care packs, and head-warming bennies were among the thoughtful gifts that brought smiles to their faces.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following organisations for joining us in this impactful event:

– TSHIMOLOGO CARE CENTRE
– COSUP
– TB HIV CARE
– KE READY Mobile Clinics
– PEN Community

As we reflect on this wonderful day, we are filled with hope and excitement for the opportunities ahead to continue spreading positivity and making a lasting impact on the well-being of all.
